In 1989, the visionary aptitude of a business man as Roberto Barbery Paz (Executive President of UNAGRO S.A.) allows the development of the project of a Beneficiary plant of Brazil Nuts in the location of Riberalta, a city located in the northern area of Bolivia, considered as the most important population of the Amazonian north of Bolivia; its installation is strategic because it is at the junction of two large rivers: The Beni and The Madre de Dios, in the same heart of the producer region of this nut.

        Therefore with the experience acquired since 1990. Amazonas S.A. is developing technology in the process of the Brazil Nut, in the recent past, the process of peeling and conditioning for export was made entirely in a handy way. The search for efficiency has led to sketch policies of process improvement, from the hand of quality improvement. Therefore with the installment of the processing MANUTATA SA in 1995 to the patrimony of UNAGRO, it aims in a straightforward way the improvement of productivity and quality in both factories.
